"Oh, Heavenly Father...."

The bedtime routine is always very entertaining (if you have the time & patience) while putting Cameron to sleep. You never know what he is going to say, but he usually becomes quite the chatter box as he tries to stall and drag bedtime out longer.

Tonight he was quite distraut before going to bed because Dad had got an Indiana Jones lego set off e-bay.  It is one they do not make anymore with the "arc" in it.  Supossedly it was a used set, but all the pieces were supposed to be there.  Cameron wanted to make the arc but we couldn't find the pieces.  We told him the boy who had it before must have lost it and we would just have to make it out of different pieces.  Of course that did not fly with Cam, he said no, we need it to be the same as in the picture - can't you just order another arc on the computer.  Well after quite a lengthy disscussion we were ready for bed and saying prayers.  In the middle of his prayer this is what transpired.... "Oh, I have to tell you something Heavenly Father (I had to open my eyes and peek, he was carrying on a conversation just like he would with anyone else and really talking to Heavenly Father), can you go to that boys house and look everywhere for the arc pieces.  When you find them come to my house, open  the door, come in and bring them to me, I really need them.  If you can't find it at that boys house then look at another one until you find them."  After finishing his sincere and heartfelt prayer he said, " Mom, so did Heavenly Father hear my prayer, is he looking at that boys house right now?"  I told him that Heavenly Father always hears our prayer he just may not answer them right away or in the way we would like." He then responded "so then will he look for the pieces in the morning?" We will have to see how everything comes together!

So how much searching have you guys done for the complete set? Too funny that legos could be his first test of faith! I love their little prayers. A couple weeks ago Riley started adding "bless mommy and daddy to stay together forever."
