Baby update!

Nope, no baby yet! With my other two kids I came 10 days before my due date, since we just have to go by the ultrasound this time and have no idea what the date would be - things might be a little different. We have had a couple false alarms where we decided we had better get our bags packed. I have taken lots of warm baths in the middle of the night because this little guy keeps teasing that he is coming and the bath would ease things up a bit.

My Dr. said to think about the possibility of an induction since Courtney ended up coming so fast and this one will most likely be faster. Chad also works out of town one day a week and that would most likely be the day the baby decides to come and if he is an hour away there would be a possibility that he wouldn't make it back in time. Being induced would also give me time to get an epidural, which is something I was not able to get with Courtney since I was already dialated to an 8 when we got all situated at the hospital.

Part of me really wants the predictability of an induction but then the other part of me wants it to just happen on it's own since we are not working around Chad having to go to Florida or Las Vegas and take the Board Exams like we have had to do in the past when our last two kids were born. Luckily they ended up cooperating and coming early on their own, before the date we were scheduled to be induced.

However if we do decide to be induced, I realized I have been going by a different due date than the Dr. has to go by in regards to being able to induce at the hospital. The due date I was going by was the latest ultra sound (Nov. 13th) but I guess they have to go by the 1st ultrasound since it is more accurate which isn't until Nov. 19th. which would mean the earliest I could be induced would be November 12th. We will see what happens, ultimately this baby will come on it's own! I don't think it will be much longer since last week I was dialated to a 1 1/2 and 50 % effaced and this past monday I was dialated to a 2 1/2 and was 75% effaced. We'll see, I just have few more things to get done around the house and then I think I will be a little more relaxed and then he can come.

Here is a BIG bare belly shot!

There are a lot of new things that have happened with baby #3... I have been a lot more tired -I can never seem to catch up and stay caught up before running out of energy. Maybe it's just because I am getting older or that I have two other kids that don't stop or take a second to slow down. I have never really been able to take naps like I did at the beginning of this pregnancy nor have I ever had stretch marks until now or had such a big belly. I guess these are all just things that are new physically and hopefully don't last forever. I am excited to meet this baby boy and see the way he changes our lives spiritually and the lasting effects he will have on our family. It is always wonderful having a new and precious spirit in the home. As of right now, we will be calling our new little one - Carson Randall Peterson.

"Inspired Men" translated to "Spiderman"

It was Fast & Testimony meeting this past sunday. When someone was baring their testimony they mentioned how grateful they were for "inspired men that lead the church" In Cameron's little mind (that you thought was not even listening) he understood the person to say "Spiderman" He was very excited that they talked about spiderman at church!

It's a Boy!

I haven't been able to figure out our scanner to put a picture of the ultra sound on here so I thought I had better just write in what we found out! We are thrilled to be having a little BOY! Cameron is excited to have a little brother and Courtney just doesn't know what she's in for. Cameron loves telling me who's in line for the next birthday - this is what he says... "first is will be my birthday, then Courtney's, then baby brother's and then Dad's! When we are at the store he likes to pick out toys he likes and say's "lets get this for Courtney's birthday or baby brother's and I will show them how to play with it - ok mom!"

Jesus' House!

We were in sacrament meeting just trying to keep both busy kids under control when Cameron leaned over to me and said, "Mom, do you know whose house this is?" I wasn't quite sure what he was referring to, then he said - "It's Jesus' house!"
Sometimes when you think they are not getting anything out of the meeting, they manage to surprise you. Those are the sweet tender moments that melt a parents heart!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House!

What a wonderful experience it was to take the kids through the temple. It was so cute to hear Cameron's questions as we walked through and to hear the way he talked about the temple afterwards. It really made an impression on him and helped him relate why temples are so important. A couple weeks after we went through the temple he was asked to give a talk in Primary on "How temples unite Families"

The kids loved cooling off by putting their hands in the beautiful fountain in front of the temple. Courtney watched in amazement as the water continued to fall.

You take what you can get when the sun is shining in everybody's eyes and kids are getting WAY WIGGLY!

It was such a joy being able to go to the temple with Grandma, Papa and Danielle Gailey. (Don't mind the finger up Cameron's nose, it's just one of those realistic pictures).

Cameron's first Primary Talk - "Temple Blessing's Unite Families"
(He held up a little prop for each one of the little sentences)

The temple is the house of the Lord.
I was able to go inside the Draper and Oquirrh Mountain Temple.
While I was inside I wanted to be quiet, not loud!
It was beautiful and clean and a place I would like to go back to.
One of the blessings of the temple is that families can be together forever!
I don't like being away from my family.
My Dad is one of my best friends and whenever he is at work I always want to call to see when he is on his way home.
I love being with my family and want to treat them with love and kindness so they will want to live with me throughout eternity!

Cameron did a wonderful job. He was so excited to speak in the microphone (he kept calling it the microwave)! I wondered if he would get scared and if I would end up giving his talk, but he didn't. Chad sat in the back and said Cameron had the whole Primary captivated! It really melts a mom's heart to see your little boy teaching others about the gospel!

Swim Party at Grandma Peterson's!

Courtney just enjoys being part of the party and watching everything around her. This empty little sandbox made a great place for her to stay contained while I helped Cameron. She loved hearing the kicking sound her feet made when she knocked them against the sandbox.

Whoosh!! This was Cameron's first experience on a slip and slide and he loved it!

Cousin Trouble - Ganging up on uncle Nate!
Ruel, Brenna, Jake, Michaela and Cameron

Cameron willingly turning on the water so uncle Nate could fill up the balloons - even though it was hard for him to find the right water pressure.

Who's Next? It's amazing how fast you can go through a huge bag a water balloons!

Randall Family Reunion

We had a wonderful time at the Randall Reunion which was held up in the mountains near Monticello Utah. It was great to be able to get together with Chad's aunts, uncles and many of their kids. Pictured from left to right: Dean (Grandma) Randall, Harriet, Julie, Jared, Todd, Barbara, Sanford, Sheldon, Kristin and Ruel (Grandpa).

Tribute to Grandpa Randall

Jacob and Cameron building and climbing on the fort!

Courtney was quick enough to get her hands on that yummy sugar cookie with bright blue frosting. She ended up getting ahold of it was I was occupied with Cameron, it was fun to see her determination to devour it and her bright blue lips afterwards!

Getting kids to focus their little minds and eat while there are so many fun things going on and exciting people all around can be quite the task!

Cameron and his cousin Michaela just enjoying the treasures of the day. I think Cameron went through Cousin withdraws after we got home and he didn't have a constant little playmate!

He had so much fun just running free in the mountains, playing, getting dirty, making forts, shooting bows & arrows, cap guns and much more. He enjoyed sleeping in the tent with Dad, Uncle Nate, Redd & Jake although there wasn't much sleeping going on between each of the boys keeping each other up for one reason or another - ("I'm hungry, I'm thirsty, I'm cold...") Chad told me he thought it was a little un-neccesary for me to pack a granola bar and water in Cameron's bag until he heard the whining in the night and had a way to combat the "I'm thirsty, I'm hungry"

My sister-in-law Sara is a wonderful artist. In no time she whipped out these charcoal drawings of Grandma & Grandpa Randall (Chad's Mom's parent's) to enter them into the auction for the family reunion fund for next year. Since it was too hard to put a price on them we ended up making it so that you could buy raffle tickets and have your name entered into a drawing to win them. It was very fitting who ended up winning them - Grandma and Grandpa Randall (there really was not cheating involved!)

Courtney - just fascinated by her Great-Grandpa Randall. Putting on her cute little smile, she reached out to get his attention.
